Cenový strop (Price Ceiling): vládou alebo iným subjektom mimo trh stanovená, ktorá reguluje a obmedzuje po „strop“ cenu tovaru alebo služby. Výraz “strop” je používaný, pretože ceny nesmú rásť nad regulátorom stanovenú úroveň.
