Hranica chudoby (Poverty line): určitá suma príjmov stanovená štátom. Takže osoby, ktorých príjmy sú pod touto hranicou, sú považované za žijúce v chudobe, čo znamená, že nie sú schopné uspokojiť potreby “dôstojnej existencie”.

Poverty line: a certain amount of earnings set by the state so that the persons whose earnings are below the poverty line are considered to be living in poverty, i.e., unable to satisfy the needs of a “dignified existence.”
