Partnerstvo (Partnership): (1) zákonná forma podnikania, ktorej členovia sú vzájomne viazaní zákonom. Partnersvo môže byť všeobecné alebo limitované, ale v každej z foriem musí byť aspoň jeden partner, ktorý ručí neobmedzene. Partnerstvo môže byť uzatvorené zmluvne alebo automaticky podľa miestnych zákonov platných pre jeho založenie; (2) dve alebo viac osôb alebo subjektov združených zmluvne za účelom spoločného prospechu. V podnikaní, každý subjekt zloží kapitál a má podiel na zisku a strate spoločnosti podľa veľkosti vloženého podielu. V obmedzenom partnerstve môže subjekt zložiť kapitál výmenou za budúce zisky a stratu znáša len do výšky počiatočnej investície.

Partnerships may be general or limited, but in all forms there must be at least one general partner who carries unlimited liability. Partnerships may be formed by contract or by default, depending on the local laws governing the formation procedures; (2) two or more persons or entities joined by an agreement to cooperate for mutual benefit. In business, each entity will often put up capital and assume a portion of the responsibility for profits and losses of the company. In a limited partnership, an entity may put up capital in exchange for future profits and is only responsible for the loss of its own initial investment.
